UMANG APP

UMANG – WHAT IS THIS NEW APP ?

UMANG is an acronym for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance . The application is developed under Digital India initiative with an aim to create unified platform and a single point entrance for all government services . The application aims to cover all e-government services of central government , state governments and local bodies . The application is developed and maintained by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technolgy of Government of India .
Presently the App has 77 applications consisting of 321 services from central government and 17 states . The major services presently available on the application include Aadhaar , PAN , Bharat Bill Pay , CBSE , Bharat Gas , Indane Gas , EPFO , e-pathashala , Jeevan Praman ( Life Certificate ) , NPS , Passport Seva , Pay income tax and Pensioners Portal . Many other services of central government and some state governments are also available for connection in the application .

HOW TO ACCESS THE APP :

One can go to website https://web.umang.gov.in/web/#/ and register his mobile number and a One Time Password ( OTP ) will be sent to his / her mobile number . After verifying OTP one can log in .
On an Android Mobile phone , one can download UMANG -APP from Google Playstore . On registering his / her mobile number , OTP will bes ent to the registered mobile number .
